Melanie Morris – Director

 
Melanie Founded Bookkeeping and Beyond in March 2006.

Over her many years working history, Melanie has enjoyed the challenges of various industries working in predominately, administrative, recruitment and General Managerial capacities.

Her roles have included:- Practice Management for a large Primary Medical Provider, Administrative Management in Tertiary Public Health, Travel, Construction, Manufacturing and considerable experience in HR recruitment for both temporary and permanent staff.

This broad background enables Melanie to identify with most Client Business needs, frustration and potentials. Her goal is to facilitate a mutually beneficial relationship that saves time frustration and money.

Melanie is the Founding President of the New Zealand Bookkeepers Association, she identified the need for a professional Association that provides Standards, Education and Support to the many Bookkeepers and Accounts Personnel throughout New Zealand.

Melanie is also one of a few Xero Certified Trainers in New Zealand, working closely with Xero Melanie delivers Xero Certification to Accountants and Bookkeepers . End user training is also provided.

Our sister company Training and Beyond also delivers many training courses based on Cloud platform.

Melanie has a huge interest in Virtual Office Solutions based on the Cloud and ensuring clients received the best service possible.

Lisa Salter - Practice Manager

 
Lisa Salter joined Bookkeeping and Beyond Limited in September 2008. Lisa has worked in the role of Bookkeeper/Office Administration for herself and various companies.

Lisa has experience in Xero with the added experience in Ace payroll, iPayroll and 10 years in MYOB accounting and payroll.

Lisa is currently working towards her Diploma in Accounting through the New Zealand Open Polytechnic.

Lisa has a special skill in being able to manage a variety of companies that have inter-company transactions. Lisa has also been involved in historical rescues of client books.

Lisa has the title of Practice Manager.

With our sister company, Training and Beyond Ltd, Lisa presents training for users in Xero, iPayroll, WorkflowMax and Bookkeeping.

Jo Galley - Experienced Bookkeeper / Trainer

 

Jo joined Bookkeeping and Beyond Ltd in July 2011. She has over 13 years practical experience in the use of accounting packages and systems such as Xero and MYOB. This experience has not only come from running an accounts department in Industry she has also worked within Chartered Accountancy firms and supported clients in setting up and using a wide variety of accounting systems.

Jo really enjoys the end result when her clients gain understanding and receive the benefits of working systems.

With our sister company, Training and Beyond Ltd, Jo presents training for users in Xero and WorkflowMax.

Nicole Taylor - Bookkeeper

 

Nicole joined Bookkeeping and Beyond in June 2011 as a Bookkeeper. She has three years experience working as an office administrator in a variety of areas, including retail and manufacturing.

After joining Bookkeeping and Beyond, Nicole has become skilled at using Xero, finding it an easy accounting system to learn. She enjoys the variety of work in her role and the contact she has with clients.

Nicole likes finding the missing piece of the puzzle that makes everything fit.

Next year, Nicole is looking forward to furthering her studies.

Krystal Summers - Administrator / Personal Assistant

 

Krystal joined Bookkeeping and Beyond in October 2011 as an administrator/personal assistant. With our sister company, Training and Beyond Ltd,  Krystal administrates Venue bookings and catering.

Krystal excelled in her previous role which involved  a variety of customer service and administrative tasks and resolving customer issues. Her duties included: telephone & front desk reception, database/records management, executive/administrative support, reports/spreadsheets and data entry, while working for Progressive enterprises for four years. She recently undertook study at CPIT in 2011 and achieved the certificate in computing level 2, where further skills were gained in word, excel, powerpoint, access, publisher, and e-mail.

Krystal loves to work with people and can’t wait to get to know you all and help you out in whatever way she can whether it’s over the phone, via e-mail or face to face. She enjoys getting stuck into a to do list and feeling the satisfaction of achieving all her goals by the end of each day.

Gagan Deep - Junior Bookkeeper

 

Gagan joined Bookkeeping and Beyond in July 2011 as apart-time Office Assistant, at the end of November 2011 Gagan was delighted to accept a full time Junior Bookkeeping role. Gagan has worked as an IT Trainer, Customer Service Representative and Sales Assistant. Gagan has recently graduated with a NZ diploma level 6. She has also completed a B.Sc. (IT) in Indian.

She is enjoying living in New Zealand. Looking forward to furthering her Bookkeeping knowledge. She loves to work on Xero, she finds it really user friendly.

In her free time, she talks with her family, watches movies and plays chess. She enjoys participating in cultural dance activities and watching cricket.
